Lone Star QAL - post 2

Well, it's very quiet today, and I'm feeling a bit lonely.

Since there's no-one for me to talk to, I've been playing on EQ7, and I think I may have come up with the answer.  I can't work out how to draw my diagonal lines out into the borders, but imagine them reaching into the white borders.
Yessss!  This is it.  You know how you just know when something's right?  Now let's just hope I've got enough of all the fabrics!

What do you think?

  1. Oh! I like that! I can really sew how that would flow and look just great. Now what would you do about the corner stones of the border? The white? Or stars?

  4. I do like that corner treatment, Sue. It would be easy to accomplish, and does a nice job of framing the star. Well done, Dearie!!

  5. Morning kiddo, hope you had a good day yesterday. Your comment about Mr Prof not thinking he needed a babysitter made me laugh ...

Like your corner treatment and can see how that would work. In truth, I prefer the curved design in your earlier post because I like the balance of the rounded edges against all the straight lines in the star itself.

But what do I know - haven't touched a needle in weeks!

  6. The border cornerstones called me back. What about the black as the background and red for the star? Depending on the star the cream could be the center or you could just stick with the red and the black. Sort of a bring you out and send you back into the quilt for a second look and a third...
